WARF PINOT NOIR
ABOUT
THE WINE
This
Pinot Noir exhibits dark flavors of plum and Bing cherries.
Its earthy complexity and mineral component is typical of
wines derived from the thin clay soils of the Carneros region.
Qualities of royal purple color and rich texture are obtained
from extended skin contact during a cold soak prior to fermentation.
Balanced acidity leads to a long black cherry cola finish
with a hint of cloves and allspice.
FOOD RECOMMENDATIONS
Roasted
quail or lamb with rosemary will accentuate the fruit in this
wine. A ragout sauce of shiitake and morel mushrooms or a
side of risotto with pancetta will pair well with its warm
and inviting earthiness. Decidedly, this is a comfort food
wine.
