SIMON LEVI CELLARS PINOT NOIR
ABOUT
THE WINE
We are quite pleased with this, our premier vintage from the
lovely hillside “Maboroshi Vineyard”. This Pinot Noir exhibits
complex violet and rose notes with ripe flavors of blueberries
and dark cherries. Its elegant structure is typical of the
sandy, gold-ridge soils found in the Russian River/Sonoma
Coast region. Extended skin contact during a cold soak prior
to fermentation accentuates the rich texture without
extracting overwhelming tannins.
FOOD RECOMMENDATIONS
A wonderful wine to pair with anything from a dish of roasted
portabella mushrooms, herbs and roasted chicken, smoked duck
and braised onions or salmon lightly seasoned with teriyaki
flair.
